Sumlin and Richt are probably ahead of him also.

I'm about as big of a Georgia fan as they come, and you are dead wrong on this. What case could you possibly make for either of them to be a better in-game coach? And then how can you say Gus and Spurrier are much better? Gus' powerful offense only put up 13 points against Western Kentucky two years ago and Arkansas St. had much better talent.

ETA: and in case you forgot 3 years ago Gus was the offensive coordinator for a team that had games where they scored 10, 14, 7, and 14 points. He's a great coach, but don't look at a couple games Saban has had to try and discredit him as a great coach.

You can cherry pick a game here or there all you want. saban lost to La-Mo, with bama, at home. saban is Jimmy Johnson. Jimmy Johnson has said publicly that he was not a great game-day coach. His talent was seeing talent and building a superior roster. That is exactly what saban has done. Go back and look at how many close games bama wins. They aren't often. He out-talents you. If you can get him in a tight game, it is guaranteed he will make some stupid calls. I use the 2013 IB to prove my point.

Don't be stupid. Great coach and great in-game coach are two different things. Nobody is saying saban isn't a great coach. In-game coaches are play callers and game adjusters. That is not saban's forte.
