i think lsu rightly counts 3. all wire service or bcs national titles.
You're forgetting the FWAA (starting in 1954) and the NFF (starting in 1959).

no one cares about those polls. its like the ubo in boxing. the fwaa and nff polls arent the main media poll (ap, 1936) and arent voted by the coaches. may as well be the ncf or bilingsley. obsolete after 1935.
