That was year 1, honestly I think Foley might be underestimating how the fan base would react to keeping Muschamp if he wins 8 but loses to Georgia.
If Florida's year plays out this way (very realistic, essentially win all the favored games, and win only 1 of the 50-50 games, no major upsets )

I don't think anyone could really justify keeping Muschamp-- that'd be 3 losses in November with no really impressive wins. He'd be gone, add another loss to that mix and he doesn't reach the bowl.
