With DGB, Washington, and Lucas gone. Who is your Ace receiver this year?

Bud Sasser is the only name I recall hearing. Is he a 1000 yard 10 TD guy?

We will see. I don't think Sasser is a 1000 yd guy. We should have a platoon approach again at WR. We have some pretty good but untested talent there. I'd expect some drop off.

Ace? TBD.

Sasser will be good.

I'll be honest. I wasn't real crazy about our WR corps going into last year, and they took everyone by surprise.

I feel the same this year. The guys to look for will be Sasser and White. We definitely don't have the size we had last year. It will be interesting. No DGB will hurt, but there are some wild cards, we've moved Marcus Murphy to the slot, he was a RB last year. That will at least add a wrinkle.

This team will be a more ground and pound than last year. We have depth on the line, and a nice RB setup.

The WR's will be more possession type than game breaker type.

IF we have a WR go for 1000 yards it will most likely be Jimmy Hunt. That being said, we will not have a 1000 yard receiver.

Jimmie Hunt is a 1300/12+ type of guy. He has great quickness and is very strong. He is probably the best all around WR we have had in a long time.....IF he stays healthy.

Darius White and Sasser will be the other starters. Darius White has a ton of talent but unknown because of limited reps to this point. I think he was the #1 or #2 rated WR recruiting wise in the state of Texas when graduated.

Before last year and Hunts injury/weight issues, he was at an asinine rate of a TD every 5 touches or something crazy like that. He scored on KO returns, runs and catches.

No, he's not. Our WR corps has taken a lot of hits, and is likely going to be pretty average this year. Hunt and Sasser are two guys who have played a bunch. White is the other starter. We'll be lining Murphy up in the slot some and hope to get some big plays that way.

Speaking of WRs did anyone see GMc's best WR Corps picks?

Anything is possible but no. Expect 750 give or take.
Hunt - See Sasser
White - 400-500
A couple of freshmen will contribute. Brown is probably the best of the group. Lee has impressed the most, though Thomas Richard may have quietly put together the best fall camp of the freshmen.
