And LSU is 8th nationally in bowl appearances. We started playing football in 1893 and was Southern Conference and mythical national champion in 1908 with Doc Fenton. We also had 3 Top Five teams in the 1930s. LSU has had a winning decade every one in its history but the 1990s (and even that one we were 54-58)
