Yeah I go after OM fans a lot on the rant because they're an excitable bunch but I feel bad for them in regards to the name change. I realize there were some issues with their school identity and nickname and all that, but it would crush me as a fan of the sports to have to go through so many changes that feel forced and unnatural

It is what it is. I personally would be split emotionally if the term "Aggie" was a well known term that referred to a slave-owning plantation owner. On one hand, its tradition, on the other it has deep slavery connotations.
But oh well, that's Old Mississippi's problem. Full troll ahead. It's all fair play on tRant.

I really do feel sorry for Ole Miss. If our frightening, PC obsessed, mob mentality society was forcing us to change our name from the Texas A&M Aggies to the Texas State (imagine there's not already one - most of the A&M's became "X State") Armadillos it would crush my soul.
It pisses me off that it's happening to ANYONE, Ole Miss themselves aside.
I feel like this isn't even America anymore. I weep for future generations.
