It's not like Doug was great; Alabama struggled or lost when the offense wasn't doing well and Doug contributed heavily to that. In 2012, Alabama should have ran the ball more versus LSU and Georgia and thrown deep more often versus Texas A&M. In 2013, Alabama should have utilized their greatest receiver/TE threats against Auburn's secondary more often. AJ's turnovers did not help the team's cause in the 2012 Texas A&M and 2014 Sugar Bowl; Doug isn't to blame for those, but it doesn't change the fact that his playcalling held Alabama back in big games against talented opponents.

If only there was someone on your coaching staff that could have corrected his poor performance...you know, like a head coach or someone like that.
