I am sure there is a university student handbook or code of conduct that covers this and if she violated it, they can remove her from school.

Of course not.
I highly doubt the school kicks her out of school for this. The sorority already did and I bet she will meet with the Provost and the schools attorney and force her to take(and pay) for some type of discrimination class or course work.

Since when was anything "fair" when it comes to punishing speech? The university tries to keep hateful speech that is not in the media out of the public eye. Once it is in the media they have to do something to please the masses who cry for blood.
