Its the Texans way of life. Texas is the greatest country on earth and we make it known... But don't think for a second its all bad. We are a very proud bunch (much like you South Carolinans? Carolians? whatever the term) but we are also very easy to get along with.

This is why I think the rant fan bases are butting heads so much recently. I've said it a few times but I just don't think Texans are used to running into another fan base that will take as much pride in their state as they do their school.

Anyway, I've only lived here for a few weeks, every once in a while sporting a Gamecock shirt and no one has been confrontational or said anything snarky so I don't think the A&M fan base is as it is represented on the rant.

With that said I hope the yell practice goes off without a hitch, if there is some kind of confrontation between the fan bases at the state house I'd hate for that to put a bad taste in this game before the series even starts.

Weve had threats before that people would ruin Midnight Yell. Its no worries. Its a tradition and with those traditions comes conflict. We have held it at the capital building in Austin before. If we can survive that and the tsips I am sure Columbia will be hitch-free.

before scrooster blew this whole thing out of proportion it was simply elevated steps in town, we didn't think of it as the statehouse and try to stick it to the gamecocks and the community. I wish the old bastard would stop making such a fuss about it and making it into something it was intended to be.

Regardless, I am looking forward to the game I just hope we can keep it close going into the 4th. Excited to see what both new QBs will do.

Btw Shaw looked good last night, regardless if it was against 3rd and 4th string defenders.
