Clemson has actually set a precedent for this.

When the Williams-Brice family bequeathed $20 million to SCAR in '70, Strom Thurmond interceded and had it split between the two schools.

SCAR fought it but was going to lose ... until Paul Dietzel stepped in and flew to Washington and met with Strom agreeing to let the division of the money take place if the money would be directed to the athletic department rather than the educational fund.

Strom had made the power move on Clemson's behalf using a tax law ... but he thought his people might lose the court battle on a technicality so he was willing to deal.

Strom worked his magic no taxes were paid on either half, and we used our half to build the West Upper Deck and then renamed the stadium Williams-Brice.

I'm not sure what the taterheads did with their half of the money they stole.

I literally can't believe this. It's something the sips or Baylor would do in a heartbeat. My mind is seriously blown, frick Clemson.

Also Strom Thurmond.
