Not gonna read all the replies but I'll tell you that randomly coming across extra tickets in Athens isn't like it used to be.
First of all, the counterfeiters are much more sophisticated than they used to be. Don't buy from a scalper. Secondly, they'll often use scalping to launder counterfeit money. They will take your $100 bill for a $65 ticket and give you $35 in change in counterfiet bills. You won't even notice because you are inspecting your ticket.
Just don't bother with scalpers on the street.
If you just need 1 ticket and don't give a shite what section you are in, you are likely to get lucky.
Don't bother with the bridge. That's where everyone has their fingers in the air. Try to get your ticket before you even start walking that direction.
Personally, I go on Stub Hub and pick them up at the Tate Center. Sure, they are marked up a little, and there is a convenience fee, but if you add in the cost of what the donations are and being forced to buy tickets for all the shite games, then divide that back out for the games you actually want to see, the prices on Stub Hub actually aren't bad at all.

Yes, I have heard of them getting smarter. Even fake tickets that look real. Might see if stubhub goes any lower then snatch one. Seems like most are looking for a pair or more so maybe I'll get a reasonable price on there. Absolute worst case scenario, I watch in HD downtown.

Stubhub is so expensive because they kill the seller on prices. Just sold a concert ticket where the buyer paid 105 and I get 76 bucks out of it. That's the reason you only see 200+ tickets there
