I first drank when I was 18 I think. Had 4 beers with one of my best friends older brother at his apartment who was 21 or 22. It was a good experience and good way to get my first "buzz".
And to question 2, yeah. Couldn't tell you how many times. Went out with or was around girls that were 19 or 20 more times than I can count when I was in my 20's. Dates, restaurants, bars, clubs, just partying, all of the above, you name it. Who doesnt have friends that are 19-20 when you are in your 20s that you hung with?

I got a ticket when I was 22 for giving my sister and GF booze. They were 19.
