Not that I was around or anyone would really know this, BUT...

Billy Cannon averaged 23.8 on kickoffs, 14.7 on punt returns, 40.3 on PUNTS and had 4 INTS. on D that averaged 47.6 per interception return. And although he had the famous TD return against Ole Miss, he was also in on the 4th and goal tackle at the 1 against them to win it as a linebacker (though he normally played safety).

Also, in 58, while leading LSU to an undefeated NC season, he threw the only TD in the Sugar Bowl in LSU's 7-0 win over Clemson and kicked the extra point.

Rushing the ball was just one of the things he did well. Pretty amazing...
