Billy Cannon was a beast and would have been in the modern game as well. Remember that back in the day, they only ran about half the plays that modern teams run in the up-tempo era. Cannon was roughly 6'1', 215 lbs and ran the 100 yard dash in 9.8 seconds. He was an absolute freak for his day, making all pro at two different positions in the pros, running back and Tight End once he aged and got heavier.
