I think you are asking this question to two groups: the fans and the players.

The fans will always look at recent history and take expectations from there. Let's be honest, recent history has been a roller coaster for us for the past 10 years. It will take a few years of consistency for the fans to adjust to the winning mentality.

As for the team, they will always assume the mentality of the head coach. Period. Gus has been a winner everywhere he has been, and that is a reflection of his preparation and confidence. Players take notice of that and adopt the same attitude.
