The year he won it in 92 he was not great, however by the end of his career he was perfectly fine. Hard to argue a guy who was in the NFL a few years (albeit as a 3rd stringer) is the worst of all time.

I mean Andrew Zow was the worst Alabama QB to win one in terms of full career.

Most people don't remember this, because Barker was a fine QB two years later as a senior.

As the starting QB in 1992, Barker was 132 of 243 with 7 TD's and 9 interceptions. Calling him "pedestrian" would be giving him too much credit.

It's funny to me when people now want to call AJ or McElroy a "game manager". 1992 Jay Barker was a game manager.
