Last year the SECr introduced a new poll type system where a handful of selected posters were asked to rank the SEC teams and provide a brief description for their team.
However, this year I've noticed they've added more and more to it such as previews and what not. Which is turning posters into more of a blogger.
How many of these are unbiased? I know the people in charge claim their is no biased nature in this and there is an open communication, however, after being a part of it last year that is false.
Not to mention it started off as a small group of posters, now they have so many I'm not even sure the people in charge know who is voting.
For football last year it was supposed to be 2 voters per team which morphed into 3-4 voters per team when a voter didn't get his or her vote in on time.
So why not make this open to the public anyway?
Do you take these previews/rankings t=with a grain of salt? Do you think they are accurate?
I think the general perception of these previews (at least on our board) is one of pushy self exorbitant behavior by certain members.
What I mean by this is certain people love to see their name in "ticker tape" and rather than asking team forum administrates if they wouldn't mind posting an RFI on their board for participation in these items certain busybodies just barge in and do as they please.
Last two example's the baseball power crap and then this blunderbuss of nonsense.
When you boil it all down it's all fluff with little substance or value but, then that was never the objective for our busybodies it was always a game of fashion parade before Chicken and Circus Child all along....
