You do know HOAs have to be dicks because if they let one thing slide, they can legally lose the right to enforce the rule on even the most ridiculous shite

then don't live in a HOA / restricted subdivision....and my guess is that you don't..
I live in a HOA Enforced subdivision (in fact I am on the HOA Board)...and the reason why I live there is because I don't want to have a neighbor that would have a gigantic script A mailbox, that would paint their house Crimson, with a sleigh having Saban pulling 9 elephants...
