Not gonna happen. Spurrier is a great coach in great shape but no way he coaches more than 5 more years. Spurriers record is very impressive and to get as close as he has during the scholarship limited period makes it even more impressive. That is a record that will probably stand forever.

At least this is a reasonable answer and actually addresses the OP. Regardless of where you'd but Spurrier on the all time SEC HC lists you know he'll finish his career in relative proximity to Bear in terms of wins, whether it's a handful more or a handful less.

What I think Spurrier has going for him is his unashamed desire to hold as many records as he can. If he can keep getting as many Ws here as he has in the last few seasons I have a hard time seeing Spurrier retire only 5-10 wins short of that record. He seems to the type to push himself just one or two more rounds for no other reason than to get that record.

If he wins a National Title at South Carolina, and comes close to Bryant in SEC wins, I'll say hes the greatest SEC coach of all time.
