I probably would have subscribed to DirecTV if I didn't figure out the lag in satellite programming.
For those of you who don't know, it takes about 3 seconds to encode HD from the SD broadcast (due to the sound).
Satellite adds an additional 5 seconds.

Someone needs to call in and feign canceling in order to see if the deals have all but dried up.
