I've already explained that, and quite well.
He won with defense when he first arrived, and all of those players were Meyer recruits (minus Janoris Jenkins). He held onto the ball for dear life and shortened the game.
It's a smart thing for one year, but when any team had adequate time to prepare they beat us.
Any team.
Doesn't matter if they were Vanderbilt, Louisville or Georgia Southern -- they were able to beat us in coaching because they sure as frick didn't have the talent.
Those that did have the talent went ahead and toyed with us in games. It's really, really simple: I give him credit for what he did, but when teams figured him out, he had no back up plan.
Which is why Louisville blasted us that year -- which negates all of his success. It doesn't mean a fricking thing if you go 11 - 1 and then shite the bed at the end of the year -- that's all anyone is ever going to remember and rightly so.
I understand where you guys are going, but he's been given three years and like I said, if he hadn't just been given an extension his arse would be unemployed.
