I would expect Gus's team to win by 2-3 TDs.

Spurrier vs Saban in the same scenario would be the same result. 2-3 TD win by OBC.
Excuse me, but I call BS on that. Spurrier couldn't defeat inferior teams in 2011 Auburn and 2012 Tennessee. Are Gene Chizik and Butch Jones better gameday coaches than him?
LSU has done fine versus Gus Malzahn's offenses; Auburn's had limited scoring success versus LSU running a Malazhn offense. Auburn has been in many close games the past few years versus teams that they out talent, so your point is mute.

Saban has held teams to 7 or fewer points 20 times in the last 3 years.

The next closest SEC team has done it 8 times.

If only he could do it on game day...
