I would love to really get into this discussion on my views about marriage, but I'm extremely tired and I know I won't be able to explain it the way I want to.
To try and put it as simple as possible, I would describe it as my wife is my friend, we have a lot of fun together, don't share bank accts, have our own children (she's not step-mom and I'm not step-dad), don't wear rings, separate insurance, etc.
I, as she, do what we want when we want. We've always said that if the other one hooks up that neither one of us really wants to know, just that we are safe about it.
Our day to day issues aren't any different than the traditional married folks.
We grabbed a marriage license so we could utilize the laws in our favor.
We love each other but sex on the side is just booty on the side. She or I can leave at anytime, all of our assets are protected.
Sorry for the rambling and being all over the place, but I am tired and need a quick nap. Gotta party here in a few.

I read the other thread and was immediately let down by how full of shite you are. Someone should take this to the other OT and have them emailed to his wife.

Meh. If it was all it's cracked up to be y'all wouldn't hide eachother's strange from eachother. When it comes down to it, marriage might be archaic in your eyes, but mating can't be outdated because it's eternal. Until you watch your wife get the best frick of her life from another man, and you're okay with it, then I doubt this is anything other than dating with tax breaks.
Honest question. If she was fricking a dude(and he fricked her brains out in ways you couldn't come close to) and was just with you out of convenience, how would you know? And if booty was just booty, you would be perfectly okay with this scenario being plausible, wouldn't you? You could still have semi-normal marriage issues, she is just having better sex with a guy she likes more.
And there in lies the root of the issue. Our hormones aren't archaic either. Sex releases tons of endorphins and things like oxytocin. You can't give yourself to another person, and that not be the best sex imaginable.
