If Tennessee's offense is good, I predict a close loss for Tennessee.

Otherwise, OU wins a blowout.

Stole this excerpt from another website, but I believe it will hold true for this season. FTR, I think we keep it close with OU up until about mid way through the 3rd quarter.

quote:

1. First time in a very, very long time every coach is back. The fact that we have consistency in coaching across the board=playing faster as a team. Were we SEC level last year in terms of speed? No. Were we as bad as we've looked the last couple years as a whole? No. This team will play a lot faster on both sides of the ball by just simply being familiar with what's going on and not having to think all the time.

2. Hurry-up offense. We did not even get a taste of what Butch Jones would like to do and that is play very fast. QB that knows the system is back and even though the OL at the tackle spots are first year players, we have three guys on the interior who know the system. You mask a lot of deficiencies when you can go hurry-up with playmakers on the outside. I don't think many of us are worried about or RBs and WRs this year. You couple them with an experienced QB, and an offense that heavily relies on the quick passing game to the WRs and TEs, and you get results.

We were less than a minute last year from being 7-5 with a new offense and a D that was switching back to a 4-3. The QB position will be better, the RBs will be better, the WRs will be better, the TEs will be better, we will rush the passer better, the LBs will be better, and the secondary will be better.

It will be interesting to see how the season plays out with the player development, continuity in coaching, and the elite, young talent being infused into the program. Anything can happen this year.
