Ole Miss to host MHSAA football championships in 2015 and 2017.

The MHSAA football championships will be at Mississippi State in 2014 and 2016, at Ole Miss 2015 and 2017.

Should have been this way since the beginning.
The Clarion Ledger for decades tried to create a "Big 4" in the state, with JSU and USM included. Glad those days are over.

reason why USM isn't hosting is because they'll be hosting the MS/AL all star game.

Unfortunately USM will host it in 2018.

Glad to hear that. VHS and DWS are much nicer and in a much safer area than Mississippi Veterans Memorial. They need to tear that stadium down.

I think this is a great move. Until we get a new stadium in Jackson (which will never happen), the games need to be held in respectable venues.

This is gonna have major economic impact for both cities. Oxford's is going to be a major showcase.
