It is friendly relative to the Iron Bowl. That's their point of reference. On our end, DSOR is friendly relative to our Tech game or the WLOCP. All that said, it's still a rivalry. Friendly is a relative term.

It hasn't been over the last 4 or 5 years. The whining from Georgia fans about Auburn over the last 4 or 5 years is probably just as bad or maybe worse than it has been from Alabama fans.

I know many more people in Alabama than any Georgia poster on this board and I have never detected any widespread hatred for Georgia in this state. I can't think of a reason why there would be any such hatred. Not many Georgia fans over here and you rarely hear or see anything about Georgia in the local news
