It is because he is at Auburn. The Cam Newton saga changed everything with regards to Auburn. We joke about people being Aubsessed and what not, but after 2010, people love seeing bad news about Auburn. There is a reason that the Marshall citation was still at the top of espn the same day as Lebron's announcement. If Auburn is succeeding, there is an effort to discredit it. People don't give it credit because they don't want it to work.
