You speak in long reaching absolutes.

You saying that is fricking hilarious.

With the internet you can find someone who will say what you want them to say. That doesn't make it ubiquitous.

I defy you to find a website that isn't named "Answers In Genesis" (just an example, not to be taken literally) that says without a doubt the authorship of Matthew is definitely Matthew.

quote:

In fact, in no way is it ubiquitous that the the New Testament other than Paul is anonymous or that Jesus never existed. Is it thought by some? Sure. Is it thought by most? No. Does that stop you from stating your opinion as an absolute? Clearly not.

Scholarship is what it is, you can be in the minority or the majority. My criteria for picking one over the other is a case by case basis and is never the argument's focal point.

quote:

There isn't a thing you're saying that I haven't discussed before and I've grown so tired of it because I finally realized it doesn't matter at all. It's a waste of time.

I have significant doubts you've had this conversation before. You've used Josephus, for one, and said Matthew is definitely Matthew. If you continued thinking that way, perhaps you've needed stronger opponents in the past.

quote:

And that is no more clearly shown than you quoting someone who you don't agree with at all just because he has a differing opinion than the person you're arguing with.

The Genetic Fallacy, eh? That we disagree on the titled premise, does not mean we cannot have middle ground in which we agree on.

I quote Rommel because I find his wisdom to be correct, however I disagree with Nazism. I expected better from you.

Not really.

Can we all just agree that Bert is fat and call it a thread?

Oh yes! Though you don't believe Jesus existed at all you have this deep rooted belief on the authorship of the New Testament which joins together you and Peter Kirby where previously y'all didn't see quite eye to eye. It in no way at all had to do with the argument you were already having that you took this stand. And you certainly had 100% heard of Peter Kirby before agreeing with him on this one and only topic.

And I don't care if you expect from me. I don't even know you, so it would never cross my mind to expect anything from you at all.
