No. FSU was better in multiple areas than Alabama: QB, WR, DL, secondary. Would have been a tough, physical match, but FSU likely would have won. I think a case could be made that Auburn, Alabama, or FSU could be the best team in the nation in 2013 depending on which way a little luck fell.

While I think FSU's body of work was better than ours, and might have been a better overall team, I think we were a matchup nightmare for them just because of how our defense performs against the pro style offense. It would have been a low scoring game but I think we would have beaten them just for that one reason. We wouldnt have been motivated to showcase AJ nearly as much as winning the game. Hell, even with all that happened in that OU game, if we had kept running Henry late I believe full well that we would have won that game because they had no answer for him. He was making that defense hemorrhage like a stuck pig.

No, I dont think Alabama was the best team in the country. I think FSU was, but I do think they were better than AU and I do think they would have won the NCG against FSU purely on the matchup differences.
