Most LSU fans will say BCSCG vs Bama, but why? That was a quick turnaround revenge game, by a Bama that was better than LSU..and coulda shoulda woulda beat LSU in the GOC with a PK and not for an epic Int. I liked Bama in both games..and far more so in the BCSCG revenger.

Some LSU fans will say Old Myth 2013, Ark or Ky 2007,etc..

But, by far Les Miles worst day as LSU HC was his learning curve era in 2006, when not picking on Auburn's Frosh DB from (Monroe-La?), inserted as a starter near gametime, and not working him over with Russell to his NFL WR corps(the way a Spurrier would exploit such)..

Miles heavyhanded Jimbo's hand(Fischer said as much on Finebaum later by saying LSU should've won that game with some ease), by running inside the Tackles all day, vs a loaded up Box, wasting precious downs and distance, and vs a new Aubie DC in Muschamp(whom knew all too well the entire LSU roster of starters he coached recently, their skill sets, and tendencies,etc..)

That loss cost LSU a rematch vs Fla in SECCG..by which time LSU was playing better ball than the Fla team they giftwrapped the Gator win in Swamp a few weeks later that year..

Refgate/Miles early SEC learning curve/hardhead/heavyhand cost LSU an 2006 Natty Crown that day on the Plains, imho.

Tenn 2005, playing the Vols former LSU QB Clausen and his noodle arm, 20 yards off the LOS on MNF/Katrina re-scheduled game in 2nd Half with huge lead, allowing him to dink-dunk the Tigers soft prevent D, when it was the only way his arm could win that game, also one of his worst LSU games..

Otherwise, not as many bad games as many Rantards/Negatigers, including myself, can truly bitch about. As many/most of CLM's limited LSU losses, are more plausible, and/or should be laid at the feet of his players, than in pointing towards the LSU staff.

So y'all would've been handed the crystal football on that September day in Auburn?

No, Refgate was a game LSU shoulda coulda woulda, which would've allowed LSU a mulligan and neutral field vs the Gator team that Russell fumbled away, Hester hosed on TD run, 2nd Half starting Kickoff fumble at goalline,etc..

Vs a Fla that was at times shaky vs a mediocre Ark team in 2nd half of SECCG, despite rout.

LSU was every bit as good as Fla in 2006, just didn't get their heads quite right, PO'ed, and decided to gel to their appropriate skill levels about it until late in the year..newbie LSU Staff in early learning curve stage also a huge factor..especially with an admittedly hardheaded HC that at times was still trying to Big-10/Big-12 it in the SEC, not fully exploiting the ridiculous NCAA QB arm and depth of WR corps at his hands. Though admittedly, Russell didn't start seeing the field better and/or past his 1st/2nd progressions until later in the season..and never fully mastered such.

No see, if they'd beaten Auburn then they would have totally beaten a team that beat them by 2 TDs earlier in the year.
