I hope that the service helps people in their grieving process. It is a terrible thing to lose anyone that young.
I didn't see it, but how so?

but Chette Williams is making me cringe.

I can't describe it, it's just something you have to hear.

Just got back from Lassiter. I am very glad I went. Seeing his sisters really upset as they were walking to their seats was really rough, but seeing how strong that whole family is throughout the service was remarkable. His dad did something that I couldn't do in giving a great speech about the loved one he just lost.
Chett was only difficult during the first part, but he was having problems with hearing himself over the loudspeakers while he was talking. He was much better later and had the most insiprational message through the whole thing.
Gus was in Europe on vacation when he got word that Lutz had passed. He and his wife flew overnight last night and got in ATL this morning to be at the event.
There were a lot of Lutz's former teammates there as well.
It certainly helps to have been able to be there for me personally. Lutz was a hometown hero as well as a college legend and it showed. He was one of those that you would have loved to have as a friend and also a guy that makes you look at yourself and want to be a better person. This helped me process the grief of losing a great person and helping show his famiy how many people will miss him.
