matters more who you lose more so than just raw numbers. for instance, last year LSU only lost 3 of their top bats. they just happened to be two senior leaders and best hitters (mason katz and raph rhymes) and one of the most talented hitters on the team (Jacoby Jones). LSU also lost their starting catcher in Tyler Moore, though not the best hitter in the world.

LSU only lost one pitcher from the rotation and 2 relief pitchers. Those relief pitchers just happened to be two of the better relief pitchers on the team (Chris Cotton and Nick Rumbelow)

It sounds like Ole Miss lost their two captains on offense, a starting pitcher, and their closer (if i'm remembering correctly). That's not as matter of fact to replace as you think.

I just think its funny Trent got cut from LSU and he ended up being our best pitcher
