It would be nice if Laxer and Buchanan come back as well. This team will be very very good.

We have a lot to replace on offense. We will lose our top 4 in the lineup.
Plus Ellis, Massie, greenwood and probably Laxer. Weathersby plans on being back even though he graduated correct?
And I haven't even mentioned overbey yet
We may end up being good but it's hard for me to see too good of a year right now

He will be a force as an ace.

Wyatt Short looks like he will be solid as well.
Kid has ice in his veins.

Short hopefully moves into the rotation and Smith/ Jr. College guy make up a decent weekend staff.

What about that juco stuart turner 2.0? Apparently hes one of those catchers thats good enough to make rebelgators nipple hard enough to cut glass...but anyone know anything about his bat?

Anything short of Omaha next year will be a disappointment. We should have a legit shot at the national title

I believe Weathersby is headed to med school so no. We are looking at...
1. Errol- 2B
2. Matt Martin-LF
3. Woodman- RF
4. Sikes- 1st
5. Bortles- DH
6. Bell-3rd
7. Jamison- CF
8. Knight-C
9. Blackman-SS Freshman Phenom
Short, Tarkington, Waquesback, Denny, and maybe Laxer and Buchanan in the bullpen. I personally think if we didn't grab a JC arm to start (no idea) then Short, Tarkington or Laxer would be the other weekend guy. This years class is better on paper than last years. If we can get a plus arm out of it close to Trent and or Short then we will be an elite team once again.

Have we lost Foster Griffin yet?
Posted on 6/21/14 at 8:04 pm to Whereisomaha
Damn we lose a shite ton on offense

I forgot this, but our staff believes that Evan Anderson is our next ace, so I guess he is another strong candidate for the Saturday role. If not that's our mid week starter

Damn. I figured we would. I don't blame him.

Other combinations would be Bortles at third with Bell or Perdzock at the DH spot. Perdzock is out best hitting catcher so if he can field well enough he may push out Knight. We also have a solid catcher in the class coming in.

Knight was good this year in the AB's he had this year. Something like 10 for 31 I think

-From what I've heard Woodman will play CF.
-Casey isn't a JUCO and will prob play RF if he starts.
-Jamison is more likely to play LF with the possibility of Bell getting transitioned there too.
-I think 3B will likely be a transitioned MIF, but I don't know if it will be Bell. I think you may see Jay King moved over. The SS to 3B transition was a huge success this season. King gives you a solid bat too.
-No way Tarkington starts. He's a one pitch guy.
-I doubt Short starts. Too much power on too small of a frame. It's possible, but I don't think he can go deep into games. I also don't know if he's developed enough secondary pitches yet.
-I doubt Laxer or Buchannan come back. Buchannan needs a professional grooming system asap.
-Brady Bramlett is the big name you're leaving out.
-Feigl also has a chance of getting in the rotation.

We gotta also worry about losing Godwin. If he gets a head coaching gig, a new hitting coach will take some time adjusting to.

Does ECU still want him?
