Pretty much agree with everything you said, only have one comment:

I'll have to wait and see on STs. When I actually see them be good, then I can safely believe it, but not before.

I hear what you're saying to an extent. But, at the same time, Richt produced excellent special teams from 2001-2007 (sans the Coutu injury in 2006). Everything seemed sloppy from 2008-2010. I think the last 3 years have been hit and miss depending on the unit.

But we know that Marshall Morgan is very good and this is his 3rd year starting. We know that Collin Barber has been very good, at times, and this is his 3rd year starting. I thought our coverage units were pretty good over the past few years, specifically the punt coverage unit.

But the return teams were god awful. We were 124 out of 125 in D1 punt returns last year. We were 110 in kick returns. We have too much talent for that. That has to improve. That's an easy way to turn those close losses into close wins.

So true. I think the staff has gone out of their way to address this portion of Special teams. The addition of the perspective from Special team ace Mike Ekeler will prove to be invaluable, in my opinion. As well as making sure they signed a return specialist in the past signing class with Isaiah McKenzie, who I think is going to be very special. I can see better days ahead for UGA in this area.
