Clemson and Furman ... yeah, of course I do. Doug Allison played at SCAR in the 80s, is one of our better Gamecocks, and he was an assistant here too in the 90s when my wife and I were big boosters hosting dinners for Mark and helping to support the program financially.

I hope Doug replaces Mark one day. I remember the day Mark arrived here like it was yesterday. I was having lunch at The Big Bird and he and the new swimming coach came in and sat down with me.

And also yes, Ibrahim at Clemson is a living legend. Not sure about Noonan yet but I.M. Ibrahim will go down as one of the greatest. And the taterheads certainly have had their fair share of great ones.

But no, as far as Furman goes, having Clint Dempsey does not constitute a better World Cup history.
