That's true in a lot of places. In the programs LSU and Tulane have in common, Tulane is better in most of them.

Of course, you're probably better off going to LSU and not saddling yourself with 200k worth of debt for a general business degree.

Yes, the cost is a factor.

If there wasn't a need/usefulness of the various universities in each state, none would exist outside of the state school.
