Well that's not true at all. Yes, the typical poster on there leans more disney than doom. But the only posts that get edited are ones that include personal attacks or lots of F bombs (they do try to police the language). There are plenty of posters on there that don't care for richt, or seemingly don't care for anything to do with UGA at all actually, but they are still allowed to post. What kind of business model do you think it would be for people to PAY for the use of a board, then have all their posts censored? They would be bankrupt within a year.

Rivals has gone downhill once they sold and became more streamlined. Back in the day, it was awesome. From the Dawgvent's beginning until roughly 2004/2005ish, it was top notch. There was just one board under UGASports.com, called the dawgvent which was free. Any and all topics were on that board. The morning had a lot of old timers like TEE (who is still posting I think? Last I saw he had like 300,000 posts), the midday/afternoon had basically nothing but football/recruiting talk, then the 'night crew' came on and it was basically like an original version of the OT lounge. You had some damn characters on there that would just get liquor drunk and start posting, it was hilarious. Several epic Dawgvent tailgates/get togethers.

Around that time, UGAsports decided to split. They would have a new board called the Dawgvent, which was subscription only. That was for all the serious UGA sports talk. The existing/old board would remain free and be called the Dawgchat. As you can imagine, that caused a huge rift and is the reason the UGA Rivals site has gone so downhill, IMO. Of course there have been several other changes with the additions of new boards for recruiting/football/baseball/basketball/etc. But that split is when it really started to decline.

In a broader sense, Rivals has also taken a huge hit in the personnel department from 247. So not only has the board quality gone down, but the content quality has decreased.
