Not entirely a fair comparison. Stafford's parents were familiar with Richt when he was at Florida State. Both are FSU grads.

I'm pretty sure Eason's parents know who Richt is as well.

Pulled Murray out of Tampa 
not exactly West coast distance but it was one hell of a sell job by Richt and Bobo to win him away from Meyer and UF.
