It's funny, for YEARS our fans kept saying "Saban processes players every year. I wish we would do that! We're always the nice guy though so we'd never do something like that". So now here we are kicking off the bad apples who arent' buying into the program, ie processing them, and people complain about it.

Bama processes guys that can't make the 2 deep and fills the roster with more 5 stars. We process guys and we bring guys from offense to play defense. What Bama does is ensure from top the bottom they have the best 85 in the country. We are doing something completely different here.

They do that now, because they've had a top 2 class in America for like 6 straight years. They still did the same thing when he got there.

Bruce Thornton started at RB and ended up being a lockdown corner. Robert Edwards started at DB and was a beast at RB. Pollack started at FB before moving to DL. Moving sides isn't always a bad thing.

Plus, while most schools recruit "athletes" and put them on offense, bama recruits athletes or big-bodied tweeners and puts them on defense. Terry was a highly ranked athlete that we're putting on D. Green was an athlete that played DB in HS that we're moving to D.

Like I said they have that luxury because they have 5* at every position on the roster and have them deep. We don't, but we're doing the same thing they do.
