Yeah Mallett was much better than Wilson. He made a lot of his own calls at the line whereas with Tyler they had to implement the whole prairie dog thing where he set at the line then everyone stood up and looked to the sideline for checks and audibles. Mallett was a much better all-around QB.

Tyler also had a nasty habit of locking on to a receiver. Hence the reason why Jarius Wright and Cobi Hamilton both had huge years under him in '11 and '12 when they were the #1. Under Mallett it was much more balanced. In '10, we had 5 different receivers with over 600 yards receiving.

I wonder how his legacy would have changed if Arkansas had held on to that lead against Alabama in his senior year.

Would've changed everything IMO.

Wilson was tough as nails though.
