Bama fans questioned this for good reason...

2012- 38 ppg
2013- 38 ppg

2012- 37 ppg vs SEC
2013- 38 ppg vs SEC

2012- 32 ppg vs ranked
2013- 37 ppg vs ranked

2012- 445 ypg
2013- 473 ypg

McCarron was overrated

looks like he did alright

- 3000+ yds passing
- 28tds 7ints
-second in Heisman

and they did not have the best WRs in the conference.

were one of the best, and that is all that can be definitively argued either way.

I proceeded to tell my buddy there is no way they escape 2013 w/ less than 2 losses.

The only thing you get correct and it is hearsay

Is this really the best thread you could link in order to pat yourself on the back? If so, you must be very wrong often.

McCarron and the WRs were 7th in the conference in passing. Ppg they were 4th in the conference and ton of that was attributed to defense/special teams scores. They were 6th in total offense. That's pretty average, slightly above if you give them credit for D/ST points.

Comparing Bama 2013 v. Bama 2012 is worthless.

This doesn't take into account the evolution of the conference as a whole. For instance:

2012: 445 ypg was good for 4th
2013: 473 ypg was only good for 6th

Also, using ppg game alone is an exceedingly weak argument:

2012: 38 ppg w/ only 2 D/ST TDs (1 KO return, 1 INT return)
2013: 38 ppg w/ 7 D/ST TDs (3 INTs, 3 KOs, 1 punt return)

As for the WRs, feel free to maintain that opinion if you'd like, but "delusional" is the word that comes to mind.

As for McCarron's Heisman invite, I've got no explanation other than it being a career appreciation nod. The NFL seems to think that was the case as well.

No back patting, more like showing how comical the responses were.

Yeah, your statistical evidence was so compelling and convincing.
