OUR = USA
MAJOR = engaging high percentage of US population in uniform
WAR = high casualties

* 2% of population was killed (6 - 7 million in todays population)
* Over 400 deaths per day (US deaths per day currently run 6K to 7K)
* Killed slightly less than all other US wars combined
* More combat deaths than all US wars combined except 1
