You're missing out, plazadweller.
It's never a bad deal to broaden your horizons & experience new things.
CoMo is a fun town, and their fans are good folks with whom to "gameday."
The stadium may not be the best of the best, but by no means does it suck.

That might be because, like you a lot of SEC fans have yet to make the trip to COMO.

As with any of these best/worst list threads, it's a lot of subjectivity of what people consider important and of course bias factor too when it comes to the home stadium. Without a well defined array of parameters to compare by it's just opinion. Some may say capacity factor is "good" while others may say seating comfort is what makes a stadium good, by those standards a place like Neyland could be very high or very low on a list, just depending, right?

As for Faurot Field, it WAS in need of a lot of improvements, had suffered from neglect of any real renovation for decades, but that has changed.

The renovation of the hill and pavilion above it from a year ago has gone a long way in improving the look of the stadium and the fan comfort in that area as well. The bigger east side renovation occurring right now is supposed to do the same thing for that side of the stadium. If it succeeds as planned then only the south end of the stadium is in any real need of attention and that is part of the master plan for the AD's overall renovations schedule.

If factors like historical impact and unique look are important, well Faurot scores high, the Rock M is both unique and an original feature of the stadium. The new capacity in the upper 70's will put it in the middle of SEC stadiums in that regard.

It does have more of an open stadium feel than a place like Neyland or the new Kyle and LSU's hippodrome coliseums. I'm as biased as anyone but COMO is as good a college town as any in the SEC from what I have seen and I have been to several of what are considered the best. I'd suggest you go and see for yourself.
