Maybe others who aren't influenced by the drivel of the SECr see things differently and logically? That's not meant to sound flippant, I just think it's the truth. Stereotypes & talking points get tossed around here AD nauseum ... and suddenly the lies are the truths.

I just don't think there will be improvement from this year to last. Not that you won't be solid, its just that replacing 3 1st round picks is a tall task. Thats before you consider how game changing the three guys were.

Plus, that defense has a long, long way to go. Would be astonishing if they get much better in one year.

Sure it is. But that's why we recruit. Two of those three positions will likely be better.

Our LT replacing Matthews--Cedric Ogbuehi--is the best of the bunch (Joeckel, Matthews) who've been drafted. WR corps is sick (RS-J, Noil, Kennedy). That leaves the huge question mark of JFF's replacement. And there's just not more we could've done than to go out and recruit the best QB prospect in the nation.

Thankfully, our defense--filled with freshmen last year--have another year under their belts. So they won't be any worse.

We won't win the conference, but we're not going to finish 6th or 7th in the west, like some on here have prognosticated.
