Im talking sports flagship. Academics, neither A&M or tu would be the leader in our state.

Ole Miss is definitely the flagship program of Mississippi. If we're talking overall value of the football programs, they rank highest in the state.
Not sure about other factors.

Ole Miss would still be considered the flagship, even if undeservingly so.

I guess Bama, Georgia, Florida, and Auburn are all better programs than LSU, correct?
Posted on 5/21/14 at 10:27 pm to OBReb6
Academics are the exact same at OM and State.

He specifically just said sports.

Thanks, that's why I asked. Dont know enough of the history and always viewed OM as the "preppy" school, if you will, of the state. At least as preppy as Mississippi can be. Its not really a bad thing, just, I see your fanbase is probably a lot like tu's and A&M's like MSU's.

He mentioned academics, so I felt I should let him know.

I think technically it would be Mississippi College. 1839? I think.

As an unbiased LSU fan, I'd choose OM.

So to expand on my previous comment, you believe Florida's program is more valuable than Alabama in college football?

Does A&M's value increase with our new 450+ million renovated stadium?
frick what that thing says we are worth, we just raised 750 Million in a years time!
We Rich, Bitch!

Absolutely. They have more money and a better recruiting base. You don't think Nick Saban could do the exact same thing at UF?

Nick Saban could win NCs anywhere

That doesn't help your argument

Agree. In college it is all about the System, Implementing the System and sustaining top recruiting classes.
Saban could do all of those just as effectively if not even more-so, at UF.

The same could be said for Urban Meyer, so that doesn't really help your argument either.
