You can't blame this all on Slive. The schools voted 13-1 to keep the 8 game schedule.

Exactly! Slive doesn't call the shots - it was put to a vote and the majority won. The schools got what they voted for and the fans will have to live with this shite rotation for long time. And people say Saban has Slive in his back pocket, gets everything he wants because the SEC office is in Birmingham, run by Bama graduates and controlled by the REC.......

I do blame slive. I don't believe this is a democracy. He is charged with doing what is best for the conference and he failed. You have member institutions voting in their own self interests rather than what's fair and equitable for the teams and the fans. Basically you're asking welfare teams to vote for entitlement reform and when they predictably don't do it Slive throws his hands up and says he's done all he can do.

I blame Slive for an unwieldy, too-large league.

You sell everybody on $$ then neglect to think thru things like long-term schedules. AU and Florida rivalry is dead and buried. Things like that suck.

Its already almost like teams like Tennessee that I grew up on us playing aren't even in our same league anymore. It sucks.
