Funny I live in the Ny area and I think it so many ways Ole Miss has gotten over the racism a lot more than other places. yes there are fools there but look at South Boston and Howard beach, Ny. The we don;t want your type here crowd.
Not fair to single out Ole Miss. and yeah when I was at LSU all the racism on the court and David Duke, the Klan leader on Tom Snyder

The most racist people I ever met were when I lived in the Northeast. Behind their backs, of course. A lot of Jew haters up there.

Our backs are thick with scars over being the national whipping boy. Don't be afraid to single us out, we can take it.
In fact it's the only way I can get off anymore. Tell me how intolerant I am. Don't hold back.

Does your woman scream "bigot, racist, homophobe" at you during sex?

Just wondering....Did the wholesale ridicule and contempt for Tim Tebow due to his unashamed religious beliefs ever get deemed unacceptable- or is he still fair game?
He is still a white, Christian male, right? If so, then fair game as all of us are.

Not sure what your point is here. What other option is there truly, if you people are ever going to accomplish your goal of enforcing your opinions on every person?

The most racist white people in the civilized world are New Englanders in my experience. It is amazing how someone could visit both there and the south and come away thinking that we're more racist down here.
The most racist people period (again, civilzed world) are blacks in Atlanta. I could go to a klan rally and find less racism than I would if I simply cross over Confederate Ave in Atlanta.
*By civilized world I mean North America, Europe, Australia and the non-third world parts of Asia.

That's not an accident. Michigan is HQ to the modern hate movements - the Klan, Christian Identity, Aryan Nation - you name it they're all up there and many Klan groups are located there. They traveled to Knoxville during a charged case expecting the South to greet them with open arms only to get run off. The surprise on their face was priceless.
Hate groups have also moved to the Northwest (Wy, Mont, Idaho, Oregon, Washington state etc) are the five main states they propose - one major group claims the US will break up and that the regions will be divided up like this: the Northwest will be for the whites, the SW for the latinos, and the South for the black people.
IOW, it's not a surprise you'll find the most active hate groups and haters in places like Michigan as well as the rural Northwest.

From what I see, at this time, is Black people, as a whole, being the most racist people in the Country. I don't think it's close, either.

I think the level of racial resentment depends upon where you live and where you go. Every place has a history that carries over. Personally, I've met far more white people who were racist than black people but I know there are areas that probably wouldn't be he case.
But racism isn't such a black and white thing (no pun intended). There are racists who spout shite and are hateful but who do nothing. There are racists who would actively (rather than passively) harm a person of a different color. I'm less worried about Bubba White and Bubba Black calling someone of a different color a name than I am Jon White and Jon Black who beat, kill, murder, rape, intimidate, harass whether solo or as members of a hate group.
Neither form is good and their are shades in between but I'd rather deal with smack talker than the guy who is willing to deny an apt/job or beat me to death because he doesn't like my color or my friends' color.

So you, as a white man, have found white people to be racist in your presence (as they see you as one of them), but the black people you've been around seem less likely to be racist when around you (when you would be someone who would be a target for said racism)?
That's some compelling arse shite man

This is the South - you can assume I'm a white male but the truth is it doesn't really matter. People in the South tend to say things in casual conversation and other settings that people in the north won't - goes for both white and black. That's not a revelation. However, I've heard more old white ppl talk shite than black ppl of any age group and my particular area of the South - the Upper South in E. TN - is a different world. It's neither Deep South nor North and for the most part escaped the various tensions that arose in both places.
We have racists but compared to a lot of places (even other places in our own state) we are some mellow mothefrickas.
I don't see why it's difficult for you to concede that where you are matters a great deal when it comes to race. History both long past and the recent past has an enormous impact on tensions and resentments.

White people are going to more open about it around other white people than black people are going to be around a white guy. If you deny that then you are delusional

I think it's funny that those who cry race the most come up with these claims that racial slurs against whites are not the same thing, and that whites shouldn't be offended, etc. they're virtually making an unconscious statement that white people are inherently better, and different rules apply to them.
Truth. You see it happen in the media all the time. White people are big enough and must take responsibility for their behavior. Black people, not so much. There's an excuse for their behavior. Al Sharpton or Spike Lee make racist comments, no problem. Sterling makes one, fine him, drag him through the mud and take his property from him. Blacks playing the "knockout game" on White people, happens all the time, the media rarely mentions it. You let it happen one time that Whites did that to Blacks, the national media would obsess over it for weeks. Crazy stuff.

I was responding to someone else's observation with my own observation. Yet because mine doesn't align with your beliefs you go on and on about it. Personal observations aren't worth shite in the scheme of things - a handful of untrained testimonials is no way to conduct social science which requires a far larger sample so as to avoid induce observer bias that often happens when sharing single personal stories of anyone considered 'other'.
However, this IS a message board where people do talk about personal experience and much can be learned from that if you're aware enough to separate the wheat from the chaff. Personal experience while valuable shouldn't be used to draw conclusions about any particular group. If someone's not aware of that then that's really not my problem - plenty of people here buy into the stereotypes of various fan bases based on a story here or there but if they're educated they should know better. If not, we'll deal with it when it arises but the fault lies with the person believing the stereotype not the victim and/or fan base being stereotyped.

When it becomes a crime to hurt someone's feelings. Since the First Amendment protects all speech, ESPECIALLY OFFENSIVE SPEECH, from government punishment...
