Tre Mason was a workhorse last year for Auburn, and he gone. What do you have in the backfield that you expect can moderately replace his sterling production?

Well, for starters, the 3 returning players with significant rushing stats are

Artis-Payne - 91 for 610 yds - 6.7 YPC
Grant - 66 for 647 yds - 9.8 YPC
Marshall - 172 for 1068 yds - 6.2 YPC

So, our returning ball carriers are accounting for 2325 yards(7.56 YPC avg), which is just 255 yards less than what S Carolina totaled in rushing last year. We also have 247 composite 5* Roc Thomas coming in as a true freshman, as well we Peyton Barber, who Tre Mason said would be a better RB than him, as well.

On top of all that, we return 4 starters off probably the best OL in the league, and the two options to fill the LT spot were two consensus top 100 players.

I think our running game is going to ok. Malzahn will have his 12th, and very possibly 13th, 1000 yard rushers in 9 years after the season is over.
