I think this was the most obsessed draft over one player I've ever seen though. ESPN cut to him after every pick, similar to what they did with Rodgers and Quinn when they were sliding down the board. The main difference with Manziel was his ability to produce in college (and Gruden there to blow him). If Rodgers and Quinn had won the Heisman, I'm sure they would have been equally obsessed about. And before Tebow is mentioned, no one expected him to go in the top 5.
