quote:And I'm sure Bama fans love that you think that. They just sit and there corner and egg y'all and others on about "how tough y'all are for excepting your hard schedule. See how y'all aren't whiny bitches like LSU fans". And it makes you feel good about yourself. While they sit in there corner and enjoy their "cupcakes" and titles. And yes I am very butthurt
Because as an Auburn fan, I would rather see my team play a good game against a great opponent than a blowout against weak competition that has no legitimate chance to win, personally.

meh, the only titles I care about are ones that aren't popularity contests.
Each season, at the beginning of the season, each team in the SEC has the ability to win the conference title that year. You win the games, you win the chance to play for the conference title.
Polls and rankings and sportswriters have no control over that.
telling me that somehow alabama is the "national champion" because they beat a team that had already beaten them in the regular season and was undefeated through the regular season and was the conference champion doesn't mean a whole lot to me. if anything, they should have played a third game to see who was really better, can't really do a best one out of two.
and the audacity to sit and say "every game counts" while that is going on is ludicrous.
they can have their mythical titles, I will take the feeling I get when I see my team, as an underdog, supposedly going to lose by double digits, fight and claw and come out victorious against the "greatest team in the history of anything" and the "greatest coach to ever breathe air" and whatnot.
